As the host of Players World Kitchen, Shaunagh Brown plays a key role in shaping the conversations behind the series. With experience working closely with players and performance environments, she brings empathy, curiosity, and a deep understanding of elite sport to every episode.

Shaunagh creates a relaxed, welcoming space where players feel comfortable sharing their stories — from rugby journeys and personal challenges to food, identity, and life beyond the pitch. Her thoughtful, player-first approach helps draw out honest conversations, making Players World Kitchen as much about people as it is about food.

Shaunagh Brown’s Dish

To close out the Players World Kitchen series, Shaunagh steps into the kitchen herself with a dish inspired by her love of bold flavours and shared plates. Her gochujang-glazed Korean chicken is paired with kimchi rice and a fresh Asian slaw — a vibrant, flavour-packed meal designed for balance, texture, and enjoyment. True to her hosting style, it’s a dish made for sharing, with plenty of sides, condiments, and personality on the plate.

About Shaunagh

Before rugby, Shaunagh had a career in athletics, representing England in the hammer throw at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She began playing rugby at age 25, making her international debut two years later—after getting permission from her employers at Kent Fire & Rescue. She went on to be a mainstay for the Red Roses, earning 30 caps. Shaunagh played for Harlequins in Premiership Women’s Rugby and retired at the end of the 2023/24 season. She recently became a host of For The Love of Rugby with Sadia Kabeya and Maud Muir.
